RE: Dr. Hannigan's Grand Hunting Expedition - Annabeth - 07-11-2018 Annabeht smiled. She liked when others enjoyed her creations. She untilted her head now that her question had been answered. Though now questions had been asked of her. It was customary to respond. <span style="color:#3399ff;">"Technically it is less a weaving and more a result of my insides. Through my veins flows electricity, and in my squishy bits glass sometimes pools. This brought an understanding of the two. The minerals in normal glass aren't sparky, they've been too manipulated by the forces of their creation. But, when you can control the factors of both creation and secretion, it gets a lot easier to make it in a manner similar to nature but more refined. Hence, if you notice the lattice structure inside, it's a different arrangement of the internals. That's what gives it the sparky nature. As for selling, I guess I could. But I don't much care for being that stationary. It gets too boring. And if it's too boring I don't get inspired to make pretty things. Oh well. And I guess it's good that this isn't hunting. Though I suppose I should arm myself."</span> With that she reformed a bow she had previously absorbed and started making a quiver with a bunch of arrows. If only to make sure they hardened before anything began. The bow had a semi liquid structure with visible electricity binding it into shape. Thus allowing it to flex like a real bow and not shatter like real glass. RE: Dr. Hannigan's Grand Hunting Expedition - Jacob Aranthime - 07-11-2018 "Fascinating. Well, it looks like you're pretty well armed. Suppose I am too, now." he said turning the sword over and giving it a few amateurish swings. RE: Dr. Hannigan's Grand Hunting Expedition - Trabant180 - 07-11-2018 "Fascinating indeed." Harold said as he continued to eyeball the glass sword. "I'll not push the life of a merchant on you but in my experience you make more money moving around anyhow." The wooden lump in his hand was starting to form the rough shape of a person as he diligently worked away at it. "You've both passed my inspection by the way, you're free to enter the camp at your convenience. RE: Dr. Hannigan's Grand Hunting Expedition - Annabeth - 07-12-2018 Annabeth accepted the statements, and then abruptly turned and walked towards the one by the fire. And sat down watching. RE: Dr. Hannigan's Grand Hunting Expedition - Trabant180 - 07-12-2018 Harold Watched her abruptly swing away with a raised eyebrow. "Now there's a curious girl." As Annabeth approached the fire the two figures already there seemed absorbed in their activities. The young girl with was staring at he woman dancing intently with a serious look on her face. Now that she was closer She noticed that the girl's skin looked like it was made from polished wood. The dancing woman leapt and frolicked before the flames, her red curls dancing right along with her. As soon as Annabeth sat down she suddenly heard a lively tune that sounded full of adventure and promise. She couldn't tell where the song was originating from. RE: Dr. Hannigan's Grand Hunting Expedition - Jacob Aranthime - 07-12-2018 "Quite. Excuse me." Jacob said, following after Annabeth. He let go of the sword she had given him, willing it to follow along behind him like the staff. RE: Dr. Hannigan's Grand Hunting Expedition - Trabant180 - 07-12-2018 Jacob similarly Heard the music suddenly spring to life when he got to the fire. The dancing woman didn't seem to have any intention of stopping anytime soon and the wooden girl seemed too absorbed in the song to notice him. The song took a sudden crescendo and the woman leapt over the fire pit twirling wildly but landing easily with a dramatic bow. Just as quickly as the music started it fell suddenly silent. The woman's head snapped up with a grin "Oolla darling you're right it's absolutely beautiful!" Her eyes widened a bit in surprise as she noticed the two newcomers. She straightened and turned to face the two. "Goodness I didn't realize we had new recruits, my name is Dr. Falia M. Hannigan a pleasure to meet you both. Did you come in search of adventure? You must have a measure of skill since you made it past Harold." RE: Dr. Hannigan's Grand Hunting Expedition - Jacob Aranthime - 07-12-2018 "That's kind of you to say. What was that music? It didn't sound like any instrument I've ever heard." asked Jacob, finding a spot to sit near the fire. RE: Dr. Hannigan's Grand Hunting Expedition - Oolla - 07-12-2018 The wooden girl's head turned wide eyes to look at Jacob. "No one else has heard it before. It's my friend." Oolla seemed to think this was a perfectly fine explanation and continued to stare at Jacob blankly. RE: Dr. Hannigan's Grand Hunting Expedition - Annabeth - 07-13-2018 <span style="color:#3399ff;">"Your friend is a lovely musician. More melodious than what I am capable of by far. What does your friend look like?"</span> She asked completely missing that it wasn't normal to have friends that went unseen. |
