RE: Dr. Hannigan's Grand Hunting Expedition - Oolla - 07-13-2018 Oolla's eyes widened even further, her eyebrows raising in surprise at the question as if it had never occurred to her. She placed her hands on her knees and leaned forward whispering far too loudly for it matter. "I'm not sure." RE: Dr. Hannigan's Grand Hunting Expedition - Jacob Aranthime - 07-13-2018 Jacob leaned back a little as Oolla leaned forward, though he wasn't sure why. "Sounds like a mystery. Everyone I know loves a mystery." he said with a smile. RE: Dr. Hannigan's Grand Hunting Expedition - Trabant180 - 07-13-2018 Dr. Hannigan chuckled lightly. "Sometimes answers beget more questions and that's the beauty of science! Her song is aspect magic for certain but knowing that doesn't answer the question of form! An entertaining thought to be sure although I don't know that the question actually applies here." She appeared to be lost in thought for a moment before shrugging with a smile. RE: Dr. Hannigan's Grand Hunting Expedition - Annabeth - 07-14-2018 She nodded at his lack of knowing. "That makes sense. It's hard to describe that which you can't see with words. But based on the sounds, I can make you a visual, if you would like?" RE: Dr. Hannigan's Grand Hunting Expedition - Szonja - 07-14-2018 Szonja approached the group of people sitting around the campfire. They were the first she'd seen since the last town, where she had found the flier that led her to this spot. She had come from the north, from the mountains, simply following the roads until she found something interesting. She had never been on a hunt before. Not exactly. "Hello." She said to everyone once she was within earshot. She gave a big smile and waved. She was delighted to be meeting new people. "I'm Szonja. Is this...?" She trailed off, looking around a bit and wondering if this was the right place. "I'm looking for Dr. Hannigan." RE: Dr. Hannigan's Grand Hunting Expedition - Scherza - 07-16-2018 The bard had wandered off in a third, originally different direction than the other two when she had left Serena and Annabeth to their own devices. She had hoped to meet them again, but it didn't seem as if that was in the cards, at least not yet. Perhaps she should have broached the idea of going along with one of them, but it had seemed that Serena needed to get back to where she had been from before she was found to be gone too long, and Annabeth moved of whatever accord that glass mages did. However, Scherza herself had no real sense of direction, honestly, not having a lot of skill in such things, and she wound up meandering about for a good while before finally seeming to just stumble upon an encampment. Literally, just before she stumbled in past a treeline, she had thought she had heard music, and being the musician she was, she gave no regard to what it was, rather that she simply needed to hear it. It seemed familiar, was there another that carried the storm song with them? With that thought in mind, she suddenly burst into the campfire area, her tri-colored feline companion close behind her in a tizzy at her haste, tail puffed up. The elf looked around a bit wild-eyed a moment, her hat askew, clothes a bit disheveled as she literally had just brushed through a bunch of trees without any regard.. However, the song had now stopped and she blinked, looking around, wondering had she perhaps just gone mad, and suddenly, she saw the glassweaver. A familiar face! "Oh. Hey there! Um . . . " Even as she started her greeting, it was quite plain to see there were many others there too. And now they entirely think I'm mad, great job, there! She thought as she made an attempt to smooth out her clothing, removing her hat to give a small bow. "My apologies, I didn't mean to disturb. Ah, if you could point me towards the nearest town, perhaps?" The elf figured she likely had no business wandering amuck into this gathering and they rightly would like her to leave. RE: Dr. Hannigan's Grand Hunting Expedition - Annabeth - 07-16-2018 Suddenly there were new people. Perhaps they were good at the stabbings. As she waited for her answer she noticed the bumbling arrival of the music maker. With a wave, Annabeth gestured for the bard to come sit down. She would be welcome here. Why wouldnt she be. "Welocme back music cat lady. We are going to hunt some bugs. Join us? I'm waiting to see if this one wants me to make an interpretation of their invisible music friend." Yup, that made sense to her. Totally an every day occurance. RE: Dr. Hannigan's Grand Hunting Expedition - Trabant180 - 07-16-2018 Both of the newcomers had the same bloodcurdling experience as the others when Harold first laid eyes on them. Harold approached the fire just as Scherza wandered through the branches. He looked meaningfully at Dr. Hannigan who responded to the look with a question. "Well Harlod what do you think of our hunters eh?" Harold seemed to think a moment before responding. "Well as you know I can't speak to the breadth of their experience... But there's more aspect magic packed into this clearing than I've seen in a long time." The Doctor's eyes seemed to light up at that and her lips hosted an eager smile. "Well it's impossible to temper power without experience and you all shall have plenty of that here!" Oolla nodded at Annabeth emphatically. RE: Dr. Hannigan's Grand Hunting Expedition - Annabeth - 07-16-2018 Noticing the nod from Olla, Annabeth began letting her fingers work. She made a clear frame of a cloud to start, then filled the exterior of the shell with a shifting rainbow of colors. Some sections had packed bright colors, others dark, and still more were a mixture. Before she put on the top, she reached inside and began making seemingly random, to those not familiar with the patterns of lightning, streaks of crystals. Satisfied, she held it towards Olla and used a little of her own electricity to dance through the crystal streaks from a couple contact points on the bottom. The cloud flickered and flared, every section getting its turn. And when held without using electricity, the crystals gave a light scattering effect similar to a cut gemstone when you looked at turned it in the light. RE: Dr. Hannigan's Grand Hunting Expedition - Scherza - 07-18-2018 She blinked and looked around and then realized that Annabeth was surely inviting her to stay. The feline's tail was still puffed as the tri-colored animal still wasn't entirely sure about all of this, but she stayed near Scherza anyhow. Not seeing anyone else telling her to leave, she grinned again and made her way towards Annabeth, sitting nearby and watching her work her glass magic again. However, this time, she seemed to put lightning inside the object, which caused her eyes to widen in interest. "Well, that's quite nice, it looks like a . . . rainbow storm cloud, I think." She spoke in awe. Then, she looked around at all of the others gathered. "Um, hi, I'm Scherza, nice to meet you all." She figured she may as well introduce herself. |
