The glow still hung around the confused man but whether through forgotten experience or common sense it seemed pretty obvious to Drevin that he was dead on his feet. He felt a cold satisfaction in acting on his anger. With a grimace and a sharp intake of air he yanked the arrow out of his flesh and cast heal on the wound.

Arl continued tending to the first bandit's wounds with her rag. If it wasn't too bad she cast heal. "Oh, defensive layout, capabilities, group power dynamics... but that can wait until the others return from catching Drevin." She looked back up, giving the man a serious stare.
"HOWEVER, I don't want to go to sleep at night wondering if I just let you go commit more crimes. Is there anything besides this soon-to-be-dealt-with-with group tying you down to a life of banditry? Past debts? Lack of job prospects? Sick mother? Bad habits?" Arl leaned in a bit closer. "Be honest. We can work out a solution, but you do not want anyone associated with me to find out you're causing trouble again."

The already shocked man found his face suddenly engulfed in flames, and fell backwards in panic, flailing about wildly but weakly as his strength failed him.
"I... not really. These guys seemed kind of cool to begin with, they talked about getting what we deserved... all they really seem to care about is looking cool and taking shit." he said, sighing heavily. Apparently he had had higher expectations of the Crimson Murder.

As he held the flames to the man, and if they caught he would help spread them over the body. As he did he turned to Drevin and noticed the magic. "That escalated quickly. Say, if that magic is for wounds, can you help me out?" He gestured to the arrow in his shoulder. He also made sure that the flames didn't harm any of the archers' equipment, and began to pull it away and form a pile of it all.

Drevin glanced down at the already healing wound before walking towards Riesig. He gestured at the dead man and the axe flew to his hand from the burning corpse. Tossing his weapon down he unceremoniously plucked the arrow from it's makeshift home before casting heal on the shoulder injury. "Well let's hope the other one survived to talk because this one's definitely dead."

Reisig and Drevin's quarry was rather dead, and now a little roasted in the face region. Hopefully he didn't have family who would be asked to identify him. He was carrying that sweet forgewood bow, though.

Riesig grabbed the bow and any arrows he could. "Thanks for the healing. Nice tricks with the ax. We should murder more things together. Only probably try to not murder each other, that makes it harder."

Back at the camp, Arl was nodding along with the captured bandit. "I've certainly heard that before. A lot of folk talk about crime getting everyone after you, and it does, but, frankly it also sucks for anyone that's not at the top."
She finished up with the wound - it didn't look all that bad. "And the thing about being at the top.. anyone that's more than a soon-dead throne warmer or bounty pay-day could have succeeded anywhere. It'd be easier in the long run! Being a criminal's a trap, you end up having to work your ass off to survive it's just that the pay's mostly up front instead of after. A lot like taking money from a loan shark, actually. Including the bit where you wake up one day missing some organs and wondering what the hell went wrong with your life."
Arl leaned back, keeping an eye out for the others as she continued. "Anyway, some folk do it because they love watching helpless people suffer but you don't seem the sort. If you DO want some help finding a job after this, well, I don't have anything to do for a few weeks after we're done here. Granted, outside of mercenary work I'm not sure how much help I'd be." She shrugged. Arl figured she needed to get more experience placing people in jobs if she was going to keep sparing them, after all.

"If you're serious about looking for work... I know a few guard posts that are looking for recruits." Randall added, releasing the man and sitting down next to Arl.

"Why would they take in a bandit?" asked the rapidly-approaching-former bandit.
