He caught up easily to his companions and strode forward until he was in the lead. Probably a mistake, honestly, but pride was a terribly thing to have. The sword was still clutched in his hand and he still had no idea what he was supposed to do with it. The reasonable thing would be to drop it but he wasn't actually thinking on that. He was thinking more on what was happening in front of him. They were about thirty feet out now and Ian continued to walk forward. He realized quite quickly that he was walking easier upon his leg but the human male wasn't so certain about that. He came forward, toward the caravan in front of him.
What he saw first was that the haulers were clearly not human. He paused for a second, his hand lifting (the one without the sword) as he stared. Well, he wasn't expecting that. Did Loken somehow know them? He didn't dare to flick his attention back toward the shapeshifter. "Gentle...creatures," greeted Ian, only slightly fumbling over the word. "Whatcha got there?" He ignored the fact that the little tiger thing had followed him, his little shadow something that he was getting used to. Well, for the most part, anyway.
