”Nothing seems like a good idea with you.” Ian drawled. His lips were still twitched into a smirk. That was when the banter would stop and everything would become serious. Gesturing at Danika to make sure she walked in between them, Ian would slowly follow after Loken.

Normally, Danika may have said something about having to be put in the middle of the two men, but she was silently grateful. She didn't know what was out there and it was probably best for her to be where she could be easily protected. With that in mind, she stepped forward to position herself between Ian and Loken.

Loken expected Danika to argue with Ian's silent demand, but she didn't. Well, at least she knew she was the least protected of them...but was that really true? Ian wasn't exactly a fighter. At least Danika was learning to defend herself with a dagger. After what seemed like a few minutes of walking, the fog remained. "Well, this is thrilling."

As they walked, the fog didn’t disappear. Well, he supposed that was to be expected. As they traveled, with Ian making sure Danika was in the middle, he hadn’t been paying too much attention to the fact that the rock that Loken had given him was attracting other bits to itself. ”Have a sense of adventure!” Though he said the words, secretly, Ian ciuldn’t help but agree with the sarcasm.

The fog ahead started clearing up a bit, allowing the trio to see farther than before. In front of them lay a swelteringly hot swamp. Colorful mushrooms, strange looking frogs, and other rainbow-hued animals darted about. Every now and then a plum of stinky gas would erupt from the muck.
There also seemed to be a voice faintly screaming for help in the distance. The exact location was hard to pin down, however, almost as if the source of the noise was on the move. Or being moved.

Danika was just about to open her mouth when a scream rends the air in two. 'Danger, danger!' Blu squawked, his wings flapping wildly at his sides, one subsequently batting Danika upside the head. It didn't register, however, as she jumped back behind the men.
Without hesitation, she pulled the dagger gifted to her by Loken out of it's place on her hip. Only - wait. This wasn't the dagger that Loken gave her. She stared at it. "What the--" It was made out of natural materials!

Loken took in the scene as the fog finally lifted. Not much of it stood out. Weird colors and strange species were apart of each realm. Then, a scream made him tense. Unlike Danika, he didn't move from where he stood. Rather, he reached for his magic...only realize he couldn't access his voidspace. Frowning, he took a dagger in each hand (unsure why they weren't where they'd previously been) and kept all of his senses on alert. "Time to go?" he prompted them, eyes never leaving the direction he thought the sound was coming from (which was quite difficult to place). Ian and Danika might care about the pitiful cries of a stranger, but Loken prioritized them over anyone else. He always would.

Ian stared as the fog would slowly come away, providing them with more to see. What Ian knew of fog, he knew that it probably didn't just randomly decide that it was going to disappear. He heard the exclamation from Danika but he attention had fully shifted toward the scream. He felt the hair on the back of his neck stick up straight as he sighed.
That was when he turned his attention toward Danika to see that her daggers were seemingly different. "Did you decide to decorate your daggers with plant life, Dani?"
Not exactly waiting for an answer, despite the fact that he had asked a question, Ian stepped toward the scream. It was probably something that Loken would disapprove of but Ian couldn't necessarily ignore a cry for help. Because of his interest in front of him, he hadn't noticed that the metal piece that Loken had given him had suddenly grown into something that was kind of sentient. "Forward, Princess." Ian pointed in the direction where he thought the scream had come from. "We've got nothing else to do. And we will be might be able to figure out where we have landed."

Danika couldn't help but shake her head when Loken asked if it was time to leave.
"Haha, Ian, very funny. I haven't exactly had time to take up arts and crafts." She mutters, her hazel eyes squinting as she looked around their surroundings. The direction the scream had come from was hard to narrow down, but she was sure that they'd be able to find something.
It would seem that Ian and she agreed on one thing. It wouldn't do to just leave when there was someone who needed help. She crept closer to Ian as he moved, making certain to stay behind the men. Her eyes were always on their surroundings, so she was unaware of the metal that was becoming something more. "Let's go."

Loken ignored Ian's preferred nickname for him; it didn't even register. What did register was the comment on Danika's weapon. He checked his own daggers in his hands, feeling their metal against his skin. Why hadn't his changed? Why only hers? Frowning at the oddity, movement caught his eye, and Loken looked down to see the gift he'd given Ian last holiday was...growing? The metal piece was pulling earth towards it, growing slightly. "I didn't know planets could be attracted to Ian Nolan," he commented wryly, gesturing to the rock and remaining on alert. There was too much going on. First, Danika's dagger. Now, Ian's rock. Not to mention the stranger crying out. He took a cautious step forward, in the direction they'd been heading. "Are we still doing this?" Or was this enough weird happenings for them to desire to go home? Clearly this realm was insane.
