[Past Bounty] Long Walks off Short Piers
#1
Waiting at the south end of Tiburon was Charlie. He looked like a man that was a little stressed out. His bright red hair was stringy and lank. He wore a long coat so his body structure was hidden, but if his face was any show, it would be gaunt and lanky. He paced around puffing on a cigarette just off of the main path.

A silvered haired elf approached Charlie smoking a pipe which emitted a faintly blue tinted smoke. He was tightly bound up in a patchwork duster that looked to be either brown or grey.

"Morning, friend." he said softly as he approached the jumpy looking man.

Charlie looked the newcomer up and down. Figuring he wasn't here to immediately cause him harm he gave a nod of greeting. "Morning. Nice day for problem solving, isn't it?" He might not have been as subtle as he thought he was. But at least he tried.

Baron gave Charlie a similar look, though his assessment seemed less critical and more like he was going through the motions. His eyes swam like seas as he attempted to meet the man's gaze.

"Are you having problems, friend?" Baron asked, his voice was rich and somehow the question felt like an invitation.

Baron succeeded in getting eye contact, but it is not very long. He seems more furtive about meeting others gazes. He is instead always glancing around to make sure others aren't seen around him. "Of a sort, yeah. You think you can fix them?"

Baron closed his eyes and took a deep puff on his pipe, allowing the smoke to rest a moment before blowing out a thin stream and reopening his eyes.

"Perhaps not all of your problems, but I'm sure I could help a little." Baron said as he kept his gaze towards Charlie. The jumpy ones were always the worst when it came to private chats.

Finally, Charlie met Baron's eyes at his last comment. "I would hope so, otherwise why are you wasting my time here?" He was unaware of himself slipping into the dreamscape of Baron.

On the street most people could see, Baron walked past Charlie and propped himself against a nearby wall.

On a street much like the one they left behind, Baron chuckled.

"Now that we have a little privacy, you tell me. Are we moving pieces on the board or taking them out of play?" the elf asked seeming much more lucid.

Charlie seemed even more paranoid. He kept darting his eyes around. "What the hell did you do? Where are we?" He didn't seem to appreciate being sucked into a dream.

That was not an unreasonable reaction.

"Relax, friend. You're exactly where you left yourself." Baron explained as he gestured towards the street around them. Granted the street around them was a little less distinct than it was before and completely devoid of any other foot traffic.

"We're also away from prying eyes, however, you're dreaming." he added, smiling.
