With good timing, Baron found a couple minds were approaching the front of the house. He played a careful game of "Don't get caught" as they moved about the house and he moved about leaving through the basement. He had to wait for a bit before exiting the cellar and making a break for the fence as the minds seemed to be milling about on his side of the house. But, being able to know where they are gave him the opportunity and he made it back over the fence cleanly as no thoughts about him surfaced in the minds he was scanning.

Baron walked away casually, hands in his pockets and a slight spring in his step. He headed back towards where he had first encountered Charlie, since they had not really established a drop point.

Baron was able to find Charlie back where he had first found him. He was looking agitated and puffing away on something while muttering to himself.

"Excuse me, sir. Do you have a light?" Baron asked as he walked up to the man.

He jumped, startled, and made eye contact. He slipped into Baron's dream. "That is one freaky magic. Back so soon? did you bungle it up too?"

"The papers are in my pocket, along with some extra materials that might help in deciphering them. Your mark shouldn't notice it missing for a little while." said Baron, conjuring the image of the papers for Charlie.
"And when he does, the only evidence suggests they were taken by some sort of cult." he added.

Charlie grabbed at the paper images. He rifled through them, making small grunt and hmms as he did so. "Alright. I'm impressed. Since the other guy messed up a bit, the value of these went down slightly. But you did a great job. So hmm. Fine. I'll give you full value. Down the road, it bends towards the coast. A tree stands right on that bend. In the trunk is a false knot with a box in it. Take your payment and leave the papers. Now can I please get out of this thing?"
Whenever he gets let out, he gives the guy a light and then pays him no more attention. Though he was now smiling.

Now smoking a loosely wrapped cigarette, Baron headed down the road. When he reached the tree he rested against it for a while. When he knew he wasn't being watched he made the switch.

Switch successful, Baron was able to count the purse of 80 gold he now had in his pocket.

Baron whistled happily as he wandered off.
